Welcome to the Totem community forum — glad you’re here.
Whether you just signed up or you’re helping evaluate Totem for your team, this is the right place to start. Ask anything. No question is too basic, and the team reads every post.
What is Totem?
Totem is a native all-in-one workspace for teams who are tired of juggling four tools to do one job. Documents, tasks, sprints, and wikis — all in one app, all syncing live across Mac, Windows, and iOS. Including offline.
The core idea: when your writing and your work management live together, you stop losing context switching between them.
Getting oriented
Spaces are your top-level containers — think of them the way you’d think of a project, a team, or a department. Most teams end up with 3–6 Spaces.
Collections live inside Spaces and hold your documents and tasks. You might have a collection for your product spec, another for your sprint board, another for your team wiki.
Tags are collection-scoped, so the same tag name can mean different things in different contexts without polluting your whole workspace.
Live sync means your teammates see your edits as you type, and your offline edits merge cleanly when you reconnect — no “merge conflict” dialogs, no lost work.
